The Health-Benefits of Green Tea

Green Tea
Drinking green tea can enhance your metabolism, and may also help support healthy immune function.  The dried plant, originating in Japan and used there for centuries,  is a potent source of catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG. These catechins are powerful antioxidants which help to deter damage by free-radicals, and have a salutary effect on human brain and heart functions.

Some growers of green tea use dangerous pesticides on their crops. For this reason, using only the green tea products that specify "organic" is a wise choice.
